Due to multiple setbacks, we haven’t gathered sufficient registrations to run the Imagining Possibilities Conference next week. It seems that the phrase, “life happens” has applied to many of us this past Summer and Fall and has resulted in a decision to postpone the event until next Spring when we trust that everyone will have time to prepare for the event. If you are a Sponsor, Career Mentor, Workshop Facilitator, Volunteer, School or Agency, we will be in touch very soon with next steps.
Although we are disappointed that we have had to make this decision, the postponement will give us the opportunity to work with schools as to the best processes for facilitating students’ participation. We will work with our venue, our facilitators, and the schools in the area to find the ideal time in Spring to hold the event, and to ensure everyone has plenty of time to register and prepare.
Imagining Possibilities has a 5-year track record of providing inspiring mentors, concrete knowledge and skill takeaways, and the chance to build a support group for the young women in our community, especially those facing more challenges in their lives. As with other years, we had lined up a group of excellent workshop facilitators and we hope they will be back with us in the spring. Feedback shows that our workshops help participants to become more confident about pursuing their goals and dreams. We anticipate creating an excellent event in the spring and look forward to seeing all of you there.
Our thanks to everyone who has pitched in to help our young women gain the confidence and skills to take charge of their futures. We look forward to working together with all of you to make our Spring event a success.
